Why we built this experience
Creating a paystub should not require wrestling with a blank spreadsheet or guessing where important payroll information belongs. W2Paystub is designed to explain the process, answer common questions, and connect authorized users with the PayStub Express generator.
The goal is simple: make the route to a clear, professional document easier to understand while reminding every user to verify the accuracy of the information they enter.

How our state guides are prepared
Our expanded California, Texas, Florida, New York and Pennsylvania guides cite official labor or revenue sources. Each displays a source-review date, explains relevant exceptions and separates worked arithmetic examples from tax calculations. A review date records when a source was checked; requirements may change afterward.
Product descriptions are based on the interface we inspected. PayStubExpress offers 18 layouts and labels state and local withholding as manual amounts. Choosing a template or jurisdiction does not establish legal compliance.
Sources, examples and limits
Worked pay examples are fictional and illustrate arithmetic. They do not document an actual payment or establish taxes owed. Follow the linked agency guidance for current rules and consult a qualified professional when a question depends on your circumstances.
